PRE-EXPEDITION WORKSHOPS:

INTERCONNECTED YELLOWSTONE Science Camp began with pre-expedition workshops starting in April 2022. Students were encouraged to look at the world around them through multiple science lenses. Experts from around the world met either virtually or in person, shared some of their expertise, and extended a hands-on assignment. Students were required to attend at least 5 workshops. Many attended all 7. The purpose of the pre-expedition was to create background knowledge prior to exploring Yellowstone National Park, foster curiosity, and build personal connections.

Below are short segments from the pre-expedition workshops highlighting examples of this experience.
